Spanish Style Veal Meatballs

Meatball is a clasic but these ones made from veal and with the salfron flavor will bring you straight to Spain.

Ingredients:

300 g ground veal
1 egg
1 bread slice (only the white part without crust)
1 pinch saffron
1 onion
2 tomatoes
½ teaspoon rosemary
½ teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon turmeric
A little bit milk
Salt and pepper

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 450 F
Beat the egg. Soak the bread into the milk for few minutes.
Drain and place in a bowl.
Add the ground veal, rosemary, thyme, pinch of saffron, salt and pepper.
Shape into balls form and place on a baking sheet.
Drizzle with olive oil and bake for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut the tomatoes into small dices.
heat a little bit olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced onion and turmeric and sauté for few minutes.
Add the tomatoes dices and cook for about 10 minutes.
Add the baked veal balls and simmer for 3 minutes.
